About Me
Since I was a child I loved watching people cook. My mother and grandmother made delicious traditional polish dishes and desserts for every holiday and I stood by and watched the details play out. They made sure everything was cooked perfectly and set beautifully for the most delicious and pretty results. Even my favorite T.V. shows as a child was "Yan Can Cook" (if you have never seen it you really need to check it out!) He was not just a chef but also an entertainer and I was glued to the television watching him transform ingredients into amazing dishes. To me cooking and serving food is the loveliest thing you can do for your family and friends and done right makes for extraordinary experiences.
Why... The Pretty Radish?
I have always wanted to write out all of the amazing recipes I have created over the years and everything I have learned when it comes to preparing and serving delicious meals. One day as I said this to my son he insisted that I do it already. Post some pictures on social media, start a blog and start sharing. He proceeded to create an Instagram account and encouraged me to give it a name. Before I could procrastinate any longer I blurted out, "The Pretty Radish" - P.S. I love radishes, they are beautiful and taste delicious!
What do I mean by... Lovely food, done right?
Food is beautiful. Fresh ingredients with vibrant colors and distinct tastes when put together perfectly make everyone instantly feel good. Match up delicious dishes with beautiful and simple ways to serve them and you have invited those you love to comfort which leads to good conversation and getting to know one another even better.
